Foster a dog in your home in San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico or one of the many U.S. cities where we find homes for dogs until they are adopted.
Foster for one night during a transport. Transporters can always use a break after a long day of driving with many dogs. You can foster a dog or coordinate a group for overnight fostering so that transporters can get a good night’s sleep in preparation for another day of travel.
This is key to the mission of SAMM. And, it’s so easy!
If you are dog-lover and would like some good company while you’re on the road consider transporting an adopted dog from Mexico to the U.S. or Canada. It’s easy. SAMM provides all the necessary paperwork, doggy paraphernalia, and directions for this process. Proof of Mexico and U.S. auto insurance may be required.
If you are flying to the U.S. or Canada from Mexico, consider allowing a dog to be booked under your ticket as a carry-on in the cabin for small dogs or in a kennel in cargo for larger dogs. SAMM provides all the necessary paperwork, doggy paraphernalia, and directions for this process. SAMM pays the cost of the dog’s ticket.
Pass the Word
Tell your friends and family about SAMM. Encourage them to adopt a rescued animal from a shelter or rescue organization and discourage them from “buying” from pet stores and puppy mill breeders.
Donate your time, efforts and special talents to help SAMM raise funds, organize events, network with rescue organizations, and more.
